We propose to obtain 5.6-16 mu spectro-photometry with CAM CVF and photometry with PHOT of a sample of 5 AGN that show broad lines in polarized flux. Our main scientific objective is to model the emission from the torus surrounding the nucleus using the detailed radiative transfer codes developed by Efstathiou & Rowan-Robinson (1995). Such calculations have shown that the spectra emitted by the torus are very sensitive to orientation, and other assumed parameters, in the mid-infrared, especially around the 10 mu silicate feature. Modeling of the data will enable us to determine physical parameters of the torus, including dust composition. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT OUR OBJECT LIST ONLY INCLUDES SOURCES FOR WHICH WE HAVE OPTICAL POLARIZATION DATA THAT ALLOW US TO CONSTRAIN THE MODELS: e.g. from the intrinsic polarisation, as determined from broad band and spectropolarimetry data, we can determine the orientation of the torus.
